OutRight
2021/22 Resources
Thank you for signing up!
The resources for the OutRight 2021/22 campaign are all about mental health and children’s rights. You can find them all below.
Children and young people who take part in the campaign will:
- Learn about what mental health is, why it’s important and how it links to their rights
- Find out how we can take care of our mental health, what services are available for children in the UK, and for children around the world
- Discuss how the culture around speaking out on mental health is changing and tackle stigma associated with the topic
- Campaign and speak up to local decision makers about what they need to have their mental health supported
You can start learning and campaigning with OutRight at any time during the year! You’ll find everything you need to do so on this page.
If you have any issues viewing them or have questions about the campaign, please email outright@unicef.org.uk .

We held our first Support Workshop on 15 September 2021: we really enjoyed answering your questions and hearing your ideas. You can find the notes from the workshop here.
The second Support Workshop was on 20 October 2021. Again, we had some interesting and helpful questions about the campaign. You can find the notes from the workshop here.
These notes are useful for anyone leading OutRight with the children and young people they work with!
We held a webinar for children and young people taking part in the OutRight campaign, on 19 November 2021. We loved seeing so many settings join from all over the UK and really hope you enjoyed the event. We will be sharing notes from the event here.
Dr. Polly Walker, UNICEF UK Programme Information Specialist – Child Health, told us about her Psychological First Aid tool during the World Children’s Day event – you can find this great resource here.
How can I use the resources?
Like last year, OutRight will be really interactive and we’ve suggested how things can be adapted for younger children, wherever we can. We’ve tried to design everything to be flexible enough for use in-person and over platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Please do sign up for the online events when we release the dates. You’ll get an email with any announcements.
