About the award
This course is a comprehensive introduction to the RRSA and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
If your school has recently registered for the Award then you will find this course is particularly well suited to your needs. The aim of this course is to arm you with strategies to involve and inform all members of your school community and work quickly and effectively towards the first stage of the Award, Bronze: Rights Committed.
Objectives of the course:
- To know and understand the context and status of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
- To be empowered to talk about and promote rights with adults and children
- To understand the process of becoming a Rights Respecting School
- To identify initial actions to get your school to the first stage of the Award, Bronze: Rights Committed
Course duration: 3 hours (1:30 – 4:30pm)
Cost: This is included in your membership fee. If you’re in Scotland or if your school has not paid your membership fee, training costs are £210 per participant.
Sessions will take place online, via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download any special software to access, you will be able to join the session through your web browser.
